Concerto 2 in C–Dur

Although in the original manuscript the solo parts are labeled "oboe", on closer examination and analysis the Concerto No. 2 for two solo trumpets, solo violin (2nd movement), strings and basso continuo has all the characteristics of a baroque trumpet concerto. Perhaps Vivaldi composed a trumpet concerto for other purposes and then used oboes as solo instruments instead. (Natural) range in both solo parts c'- c"', voice leading homophonic. Performance also possible for other solo instruments such as oboes, flutes, violins.
