Polka schnell op. 324
"Thunder and Lightning" is probably one of the most famous polkas by Johann Strauss. The first performance took place under the title "Shooting Stars" on February 16, 1868 at the Hesperus Artists Ball in the Diana Hall in Vienna by the Strauss Chapel under the direction of the composer. The present transcription for wind orchestra is very close to the original.
