American Folk Song
One of three American folksongs in Nance's colorful, playful style, which is well within the reach of most high school choirs. The piece starts with unison women and then is followed by four-part men, which is the hardest section in the three pieces, good voice leading and comfortable tessitura ensures success. The piece concludes with the choir being split into seven parts with the melody in the altos.
