Studien-Edition
for: Piano, orchestra
Study score (Urtext edition)
Item no.: 1558761
Two copies needed for performance
The Concerto in Bb major K. 595 is not only Mozart’s very last in the series of very important works for piano and orchestra. It is generally regarded as his most mature, perhaps even his most beautiful contribution to this genre.
On 5 January 1791, Mozart noted its completion in his personal catalogue of works, and played the solo part himself at a private concert on 4 March, which was to be his last-ever performance. Mozart also used the theme of the Rondo in his song “Komm lieber Mai und mache”, surely one of his most famous melodies.
This Henle Urtext edition, available both as a study score and a piano reduction, was prepared by Mozart specialist Wolf-Dieter Seiffert and world-famous pianist Piotr Anderszewski (fingerings, lead-ins and embellishments), ensuring the highest standards. The cadenzas are by Mozart himself.
The new standard edition for K. 595!
