I. Intrada Jubilate The first movement is a festive opening, symbolizing the bonds of people to their roots: trust, understanding and fellowship are three central ideas of this movement.

II. Scherzo Danzante The power of nature is the topic of the second movement, shown by a musical picture of the Breitachklamm Gorge near Fischen. Stone, water, ice and snow form a fascinating natural phenomenon.

III. Intermezzo Pastorale As the title implies, this movement pays homage to the beautiful Allgäu scenery.

IV. Finale Human nature – different characters and personalities – and the nature of the countryside in all its facets create the unique feature of a place. All of these aspects form a composite of different impressions and experiences – the “spice” that makes a special place so special…
